Start your participation in the National Family Law Conference in style on board the Family Law Flotilla.  Join fellow delegates and special guests at the Exhibition Landing on the steps of MCEC to embark on the flotilla of boats that will ferry you to the Welcome Reception. Refreshments will be served while you enjoy a unique perspective of Melbourne’s CBD skyline as we cruise down the Yarra River.

It is recommended Melbourne-based delegates may wish to make their way directly to Zinc for the Welcome Reception at 7:00pm, rather than joining the Flotilla which will depart from Southwharf.

This evening is a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues and friends as we welcome you to the 2016 National Family Law Conference.

A regular part of the National Family Law Conference program, this year’s Women in Law Breakfast will be bigger and better than ever, and an event not to be missed.

Annabel Crabb, ABC journalist and author of the ‘The Wife Drought´ will moderate a panel of three leading women lawyers in Australia – the Hon. Chief Justice Diana Bryant of the Family Court of Australia, the Hon. Chief Justice Marilyn Warren of the Supreme Court of Victoria and Australia’s new Federal Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins. Hear their insights into their own career paths, the role of women in our profession and the future for women in law.

This event will be open not just to delegates of the National Family Law Conference, but also to the wider legal profession in Victoria. It promises to be one of the highlights of the year.

This is an optional event and tickets can be purchased for $95 per person. Guests who are not attending the Conference are also welcome to attend and can register by simply clicking here.

As the Conference draws to a close, it is time to enjoy a fabulous night of dining and dancing at Melbourne’s premier event space – Peninsula at Docklands.   This stylish night with just a touch of 70’s disco is not to be missed.  Guests who want to  party on and dance the night away , this year’s Gala Ball will run through to 1am.  

This event is included for all registration types with the exception of day registrations and students. Limited tickets can be purchased for $220 per person.

There has been a high demand for tickets for the Ball and we now only have a limited number of seats available.  At this point, these are only available to conference delegates (those with a ticket included in their registration and for those delegates who have the option of purchasing one (1) ticket).
